CEP Webinars launches a series of short webinars

In 2024 CEP launches a series of short webinars that will take place every third Thursday of January (18 January), March (21 March), May (16 May), September (19 September) and November (21 November). We sincerely invite all probation practitioners, social workers, managers, policymakers, researchers, students as well as colleagues from partner organisations to join and share your knowledge with us.

 

The webinars will be held on the topics of alternatives to detention, radicalisation and violent extremism, technology, assessment and volunteers and it aims to open up a space for sharing and presenting good practices, relevant experience, latest developments from your jurisdictions.

We sincerely invite those interested in delivering a presentation to contact us at mirka@cep-probation.org.

The webinars will be held in English and will take place online from 2 pm (CET). The recordings of the webinars will also be published on the CEP YouTube channel for those who cannot attend online.

Registration is free of charge.

The Confederation of European Probation (CEP) had a strong presence at the 25th Annual Conference of the European Society of Criminology (EUROCRIM 2025), held in Athens from 3 to 6 September 2025. As one of Europe’s largest gatherings of criminologists, the ESC annual conference brings together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world to exchange knowledge on crime, justice, and social responses. This year’s theme was “Logos of Crime and Punishment,” inspired by classical Greek philosophy.

We are pleased to share that CEP Ambassador Steve Pitts has been awarded the prestigious Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette by the Government of Japan. The honour was officially presented on 25th July 2025 at a formal ceremony held at the Japanese Ambassador‘s residence in London, hosted by the Japanese Ambassador.
