CEP visit to Norwegian Correctional Service and Ambassador Program Participation
CEP Secretary General Jana Spero visited the Norwegian Directorate of Correctional Service (KDI) and the Correctional Service of Norway Staff Academy (KRUS).
Ms. Spero actively participated in the Ambassadors program – Common Week with Polish, Romanian, and Norwegian ambassadors at the Norwegian Correctional Service in Lillestrøm from the 10 to the 15 September 2023.
On September 12 Jana visited prison Ila.
Furthermore, on September 13, the Secretary-General gave a lecture to participants on the “Seamless principle” and presented the work of CEP. During the visit, Jana met with Ms. Heidi Bottolfs and Mr. Jan-Erik Sandlie, Deputies of the General Director of the Norwegian Correctional Service, and with Mr. Kim Ekhaugen, Director of International Cooperation.

Yesterday, 22 February, marked the European Day for Victims of Crime.
At CEP, we recognise that crime causes harm to individuals and communities. Probation work focuses on accountability, rehabilitation and reducing reoffending, contributing to the prevention of further victimisation.

CEP at 40th PC-CP Working Group Meeting

CEP actively participated in the meeting of the Council of Penological Co-operation (PC-CP) of the Council of Europe. Through its involvement, the organisation contributes meaningfully to the work of the PC-CP by representing the voices and professional experience of probation practitioners across member countries and jurisdictions. CEP Vice-President Ms Danijela Mrhar Prelić is a member of the PC-CP Working Group and actively participates in all meetings.
