From September 19 to 21, 2023, the PC-CP Working Group, with CEP as an observer, met. The agenda included finalizing the draft CM Recommendation on AI ethics and organization within prison and probation services, along with its commentary. Additionally, work continued on the draft CM Recommendation regarding mental health management and promotion within these services. The group also discussed the recent Berlin conference of Directors of Prison and Probation Services (CDPPS) and plans for the upcoming CDPPS conference in Bulgaria on June 26-27. The last day featured a visit to Strasbourg prison to learn more about its operations and the situation in French prisons.

The upcoming PC-CP Plenary Meeting is taking place from 10-12 October in Paris, France.
