Presentations 7th conference for Directors General in Probation online now!
From the 15th until the 17th of November 2017, the 7th conference for Directors General in Probation took place, this time in Brussels, Belgium. The event was kindly hosted by the French-speaking DG Houses of Justice (Wallonia-Brussels Federation).
The Conference for Directors General is an important biannual conference for the CEP members, where they get the opportunity to exchange knowledge and witness interesting presentations, but it is also a very good opportunity to maintain and develop networks across Europe.
Many topics that are important for the work and world of probation were discussed, as well as several relevant European developments. This Directors General meeting focused on the following key strategic issues for probation:
- Theories and Models of Organisational Change;
- Leading Change in Organisations: A Focus on Quality Assurance;
- Managing Organisational Change and Innovation;
- Coping with the inevitable barrage of changes that confront DG’s daily in attempting to keep probation organisations viable and current.

CEP at 40th PC-CP Working Group Meeting

CEP actively participated in the meeting of the Council of Penological Co-operation (PC-CP) of the Council of Europe. Through its involvement, the organisation contributes meaningfully to the work of the PC-CP by representing the voices and professional experience of probation practitioners across member countries and jurisdictions. CEP Vice-President Ms Danijela Mrhar Prelić is a member of the PC-CP Working Group and actively participates in all meetings.

CEP at the EMPRO Symposium hosted by ERA

CEP actively contributed to the EMPRO Knowledge Exchange Symposium hosted by the Academy of European Law (ERA) in Trier on 28–29 January, bringing together practitioners, policymakers, and researchers to reflect on the implementation of EU Framework Decisions in probation and supervision.
