Fifth meeting of the Expert Network on Education and Training in Probation
On 24 October 2023, CEP organised the fifth meeting of the Expert Network on Education and Training in Probation at the Administration générale des Maisons de Justice in Brussels, Belgium.
CEP invited key education and training leaders and representatives of probation bodies in Europe to participate in this Network meeting.
This meeting aimed at enhancing the knowledge on education and training in the field of Probation, exchanging experiences and good practices between different countries in the field of education and training, sharing recent updates in relation to both legislative developments and interventions and creating a solid expert network in the field of education and training of probation staff at European Level.
Through this meeting, CEP offered its members a platform for exchanging good practices and opportunities to approach the funding channels available from the European Commission in order to develop the implementation of training strategies for Probation professionals in Europe.
Representatives from twelve different European Jurisdictions participated at the expert network meeting. CEP also invited the following expert speakers:

CEP 15th General Assembly and International Conference on Gender-Based Violence in Probation

From 14 to 16 October 2025, Vienna hosted the 15th CEP General Assembly and the CEP International Conference on Gender-Based Violence in Probation: Challenges and Lessons Learned. The event, organized in cooperation with NEUSTART, brought together over 100 CEP members, probation professionals, policymakers, and researchers from across Europe to reflect, exchange experiences, and discuss the topic of gender-based violence from the perspective of probation, restorative justice and prison.

Framework Decisions
CEP Updates Framework Decision 947 Guides

CEP has released updated versions of its guides for persons under probation supervision and for probation staff, reflecting its continued commitment to cross-border cooperation in criminal justice. These revisions aim to promote broader use of Framework Decision 947, which facilitates the mutual recognition of probation measures and alternative sanctions across EU member states.

Building Core Skills, Building Connections: V edition of the ITSCCS 2025 in Barcelona

Over five days, the Centre d’Estudis Jurídics i Formació Especialitzada became a hub for practitioners eager to sharpen the practical tools that define effective work in the criminal justice field.
