Webinar – Mental Health in probation: presentations and webinar are available
In the morning of 15th June 2022 CEP organized a webinar on Mental Health and Probation. The topic was chosen since mental health problems among people under probation are relatively highly prevalent when compared to the general population, and therefore create an issue that needs close attention and care.
After the opening words of Mr. Mark Wilson, Director General of the Irish Probation Service, three presentations were delivered by speakers on the following topics: Ethics and mental health (Dr. Damian Smith, Ireland), the Council of Europe white paper on Mental Health in prison & probation (Mr. Jorge Monteiro, Portuguese Prison and Probation Service), and suicide in probation (Mr. Jake Phillips, Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom).
The presentations can be downloaded below.
