RAN Prison and Probation Working Group: call for co-chairs
The RAN Prison and Probation working group is looking for a new co-chair, to work alongside Mr Finn Grav. This group brings together practitioners from the sector, such as prison staff, governors, psychiatrists, chaplains and probation staff. The working group supports them in their prevention work. Topics to be addressed in 2017 include: the prosecution of returnees, the role of religion and the development of probation tools. We are looking for a co-chair with specific expertise in the probation field. Please find more information on the profile and the work of this group in this call.
Apply for the position
The European Commission and the RAN CoE invite prison and probation professionals who have current tasks and responsibilities directly connected or related to the prevention of radicalisation to register their interest to co-chair. If you match the profile and your organisation supports your application, we welcome you to register your interest and fill in the template by 15 April 2017. CoPPer Project Final Conference: A Celebration of Collaboration, Impact and Inspiration

On 6 November 2025, the CoPPer Final Project Conference took place at Het Nutshuis in The Hague, the Netherlands, marking a milestone in European cooperation and innovation in the field of probation. The event brought together 66 participants representing jurisdictions from Germany, Ireland, United Kingdom, Portugal, Netherlands, Romania, Estonia, as well as Türkiye and Japan. A clear sign of the growing international interest in the CoPPer project and its outcomes.

CEP at the 27th ICPA Conference in Istanbul

CEP SG Jana Spero Kamenjarin attended the 27th International Corrections and Prisons Association (ICPA) Conference, held in Istanbul, Türkiye. The conference brought together professionals, researchers, and policy experts from around the world to share insights and best practices. There were approximately 700 participants and the conference program consisted of 151 presentations.
