Online meeting for Directors General and Senior Managers in Probation
On Wednesday 4 March CEP organized its annual online meeting for Directors General and Senior Managers in Probation. The session offered a comprehensive look into how CEP Expert Groups function and the value they bring across the organization. Participants gained a clearer understanding of how these groups operate, how they support CEP’s strategic priorities, and how colleagues can engage with their work—either as active members or as stakeholders who rely on their outputs.
The presentation highlighted the thematic focus areas of the EGs and underlined the crucial role EGs play in supporting CEP’s broader strategic goals. Each group is designed to gather specialized expertise, inform decision-making, and produce outputs that help advance priority initiatives. Participants were also introduced to the composition of the EGs, which bring together colleagues with diverse backgrounds and expertise. The session walked through the selection process for EG members, including the expected profile, criteria for participation, and the competencies that EGs typically require.
A key highlight of the meeting was the preview of upcoming nomination opportunities. Attendees learned about the timeline for new calls, and the different ways individuals and teams can engage. The session also emphasized opportunities for cross-team cooperation, encouraging colleagues to explore how their work could intersect with or support ongoing EG activities.
