Short impression of the CEP expert meeting on the FD 829 en 947
On 15-16 September the second CEP expert meeting on the Framework Decisions 829 and 947 took place in Brussels. A group of 37 people from 24 different countries discussed the practices, the “what works and what does not work” and many other issues regarding these 2 Framework Decisions.
Also 2 representatives from the European Commission took part, and Mr. Anton van Kalmthout presented the first draft of the Handbook that he is writing under their authority.
Many lively discussions took place, with valuable outcomes and possibilities for future networks.

Recap: Expert Group meeting on Violent Extremism

On 12–13 March 2026, the Expert Group on Violent Extremism convened for an in‑person meeting in Bucharest, Romania. Hosted at the University of Bucharest, the meeting brought together practitioners and representatives from across Europe to finalise the overview of best practices for preventive interventions targeting juveniles and young adults up to the age of 26 under probation. Building on the extensive discussions and progress made in 2025, the group worked collaboratively to bring the document to completion.
