The European Commission is proud to announce the publication of the 2022 report on European judicial training, which presents figures regarding training of justice professionals on EU law in 2021.
This eleventh report charts the progress towards the qualitative and quantitative objectives set by the European judicial training strategy for 2021-2024.
The report shows that in 2021, more than 240 000 justice professionals received training on EU law. In comparison with 2020, which marked a record, this means a substantial decrease in the total number of justice professionals trained, mainly due to training of lawyers on EU law, who in 2020 achieved exceptionally high numbers. For all other professions, the report shows an increase in the total number of justice professionals trained. And, in comparison with pre-pandemic years, we can also see the upward trend continuing for lawyers, court prosecutors’ office staff and notaries.
