Jana Špero appointed Assistant Minister for Prisons & Probation

The Confederation of European Probation is delighted to report that CEP Board Member Jana Špero is appointed Assistant Minister for Prisons & Probation by the government in Croatia. The CEP would like to congratulate her with this wonderful new position.

She is the first female appointment to the post and very happy to accept this challenge from the Croatian government. “It is a vote of confidence and recognition of my skills and achievements.”

Jana Špero has built up a very impressing cv over the past years and has done a great amount of work in the sector of probation, not only in Croatia, but also in Europe. The position as Assistant Minister for Prison and Probation fits perfectly in the line of her work and ambition.

Ten years ago she started as a project leader for the project of developing a probation service in Croatia. Where she has been the Director General of since then. She has been active in European probation, through the Council of Europe and as a Board Member of the CEP.
