CEP at 33rd PC-CP Working Group meeting
From September 19 to 21, 2023, the PC-CP Working Group, with CEP as an observer, met. The agenda included finalizing the draft CM Recommendation on AI ethics and organization within prison and probation services, along with its commentary.
Additionally, work continued on the draft CM Recommendation regarding mental health management and promotion within these services. The group also discussed the recent Berlin conference of Directors of Prison and Probation Services (CDPPS) and plans for the upcoming CDPPS conference in Bulgaria on June 26-27. The last day featured a visit to Strasbourg prison to learn more about its operations and the situation in French prisons.
The upcoming PC-CP Plenary Meeting is taking place from 10-12 October in Paris, France.

At CEP, we recognise that crime causes harm to individuals and communities. Probation work focuses on accountability, rehabilitation and reducing reoffending, contributing to the prevention of further victimisation.

CEP at 40th PC-CP Working Group Meeting

CEP actively participated in the meeting of the Council of Penological Co-operation (PC-CP) of the Council of Europe. Through its involvement, the organisation contributes meaningfully to the work of the PC-CP by representing the voices and professional experience of probation practitioners across member countries and jurisdictions. CEP Vice-President Ms Danijela Mrhar Prelić is a member of the PC-CP Working Group and actively participates in all meetings.
