Webinar Electronic Monitoring: ‘Sharing experiences regarding EM during the Covid-19 pandemic: state of play’

On Wednesday 12th May CEP organized a webinar on Electronic Monitoring: “Sharing experiences regarding EM during the Covid-19 pandemic: state of play”. The online event replaced the 12th edition of the biannual Electronic Monitoring conference, that unfortunately had to be postponed to May 2022 due to the corona pandemic.

Mr. Arto Kujala, director of the Finnish Criminal Sanctions Agency that would have been hosting the event in Helsinki, opened the webinar and was followed by presentations from the two keynote speakers Ms. Cara Tabachnick, journalist reporting on global crime, and Mr. Mike Nellis, emeritus professor at the University of Strathclyde, Scotland.

Also the five technology providers who will support the conference in Helsinki in 2022 took the floor for 5 minutes each to give an oral update on their experiences regarding Covid-19 and their market/clients in the criminal justice sector: Buddi, Attenti, Geosatis, SuperCom and G4S.

The presentations can be downloaded below, as well as the link to the recording of the webinar.
