Mental Health Awareness Week: strengthening probation practice through mental health

CEP continues to develop this work through its Expert Group on Mental Health in Probation, bringing together practitioners and experts to strengthen knowledge, practice, and cooperation in this field.

Within this context, CEP is preparing to launch the European Mental Health Training Curriculum for Probation Officers in the coming days. The curriculum has been developed with wide European input and reflects a shared effort to strengthen probation responses to mental health needs in practice.

At the same time, CEP is opening a call for national pilot implementation. This will allow member organisations to test the European Mental Health Curriculum in real operational settings and contribute to its further development of Probation Services with support from CEP.

To support this work and continue the exchange, CEP will host a free webinar on 21 May, presenting the upcoming Mental Health training curriculum modules and the next steps for implementation.

Participants will have the opportunity to hear directly from members of the CEP Expert Group on Mental Health in Probation and to engage with the work behind this European initiative.
