CEP at the 9th anniversary of the Yellow Ribbon Run
The afternoon of 11 June 2024 marked the 9th anniversary of the Yellow Ribbon Run – an event whose mission is to give people with a criminal past and their families a second chance for a decent life, thus contributing to the prevention of crime, reduction of recidivism and greater safety in society. CEP joined the run with two relays and nine colleagues-runners from Latvia, Italy, Poland, Croatia and the Czech Republic completing both 2,5 km and 5 km distances supporting for the aims of the run. The overall participation of the YRR was almost 800 runners among whom you could find probation and prison staff, MoJ staff, both current and former prisoners, international guests as well as the general public. From among international guests, runners from Norway, Belgium, Croatia and Latvia joined in the event. We are looking forward to the 10th YRR in 2025!

Recap: CEP Expert Group on Mental Health in Probation Meets

On 8–9 April 2026, the Expert Group on Mental Health in Probation convened in Dublin, Ireland, hosted by the Irish Probation Service. The meeting brought together 7 expert members from 7 European jurisdictions, Portugal, Ireland, Türkiye, Germany, Poland, Northern Ireland, England and Spain (Catalonia), alongside distinguished external speakers from international and academic institutions.
Chaired by Ana Cristina Neves, Head of Service at the Directorate-General of Reintegration and Prison Services (DGRSP), Portugal, the meeting provided a focused and collaborative space to reflect on the group’s progress, consolidate key outputs, and define strategic priorities for the upcoming 2026–2028 mandate.
