On February 23, the 8 partners of the CoPPer Erasmus + project met online to keep track of the project’s progress and to plan upcoming activities. State of play of different Work Packages Action Plans were presented. The group agreed on the agenda for the next face-to-face meeting in Cork – hosted by the University College of Cork, the final version of the Project Management Handbook was presented and the work on the Project Communication and dissemination discussed. The CoPPer project website will be soon ready. The next online meeting will be on 28 April 2023.

EuroPris has published a new report titled From Challenges to Solutions: Mapping European Strategies on Prison Overcrowding. The report provides an overview of how prison administrations across Europe are addressing prison overcrowding and their responses to it.
The mapping exercise was conducted between April and September 2025. It is based on structured survey responses from 33 national and regional prison administrations, representing approximately 80% of EuroPris members. The findings are complemented by expert interviews and institutional input.
