Meeting of the Expert Group on Mental Health in Probation
After the face-to-face meeting on November 2024 in Barcelona, on 15 January, the CEP Expert group on Mental Health in Probation held its first 2025 online meeting.
The experts of the group discussed its strategy, objectives, and outcomes, focusing on Developing a European Mental Health Curriculum for Probation Officers. The group agreed on the objectives of the training, including foundational knowledge, improving competence and confidence of probation officers, and enhancing the ability to interact effectively with service users presenting mental health issues.
The group will continue its work along this year and will be able to present first results at the end of 2025 – beginning 2026.
