World Congress on Probation and Parole 2024 – Call for proposals

As you might have heard, The Netherlands is hosting the 6th World Congress on Probation and Parole from 16 to 18 April 2024 in the city of The Hague.

About the World Congress on Probation and Parole

The World Congress on Probation and Parole (WCPP) is held every two years. It brings together experts, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to promote and develop probation, parole, and community corrections by sharing practical, policy, and academic knowledge.

About the Call:

The main theme of WCPP 2024 is The future of probation and parole. When talking about the future of our field of work, it is imperative that we take each other’s perspective into account. For example: the political, societal, cultural, and legal context we work in varies greatly across the world. These factors influence our views on the role and value of probation and parole, how we determine what is effective and innovative, and how we implement and execute probation and parole. This is why we believe that if we are to learn from each other, we need to have a better understanding of these contexts.

Do you have an interesting view on the future of probation and parole? We invite you to submit a proposal to provide a parallel session at the World Congress on Probation and Parole 2024, which will be held in The Netherlands from 16 to 18 April 2024. On behalf of the organizing committee, we are looking forward to gathering perspectives from all over the world to inspire each other at the sixth edition of the WCPP.

Submitting is possible until 22 October 2023 via: https://lnkd.in/evx9DiTA1695283169223
