CEP President participated at the WWP EN Annual Conference

The conference focused on how work with perpetrators has evolved since the network’s founding and laid the groundwork for an even more impactful future.

Annie Devos, CEP President, represented CEP and the probation sector in Europe. She delivered a welcome speech that highlighted the gender-based violence approach within the probation sector, the work that CEP is undertaking in this regard, as well as the strategy and vision for advancing evidence-based practices with offenders and victims of this type of violence.

The conference also took a closer look at intimate partner violence in LGBTQ+ relationships and women’s use of force against their male partners. The various conference sessions explored the similarities and differences compared to male violence in heterosexual relationships, aiming to develop a greater sensitivity to the specific needs of female clients in heterosexual relationships and LGBTQ+ clients.
