The second edition of the CEP Awards will be presented during the General Assembly in October 2019! With the awards, CEP would like to celebrate outstanding contributions to probation. From the 5th of February 2019, you can start with submitting your nominations in the following categories:

Rehabilitation in the community
An award for work which is effective in rehabilitating probation clients and reducing reoffending.
Question 1: Description of work being nominated
- Information about the organisation / project and its aims
- Description of the services provided and how long they have been running
- The target client group and numbers of clients involved
Question 2: Why does this work deserve an award? Describe how the organisation or project meets these criteria.
- The work being nominated has been delivered since at least January 2018
- Services are innovative
- Services have had a positive impact on the rehabilitation of probation clients
Public protection
An award for making a significant contribution to reducing risk of harm to potential victims.
Question 1: Description of work being nominated
- Information about the organisation / project and its aims
- Description of the services provided and how long they have been running
- The target client group and numbers of clients involved
Question 2: Why does this work deserve an award? Describe how the organisation or project meets these criteria.
- The work being nominated has been delivered since at least January 2018
- Services are innovative
- Services have made a significant contribution to reducing the risk of harm to potential victims or to the wider community
Research
This award is for research which has made or has potential to make a significant impact on the ethical and effective development of probation. The research must have been published in the last 5 years (2013 or later). It could include research which helps us better understand probation itself, or the challenges that probation faces, or the effectiveness of probation work or the development of probation services or the profession.

- Provide details of where it was published – provide a link to the research if it is available online
Question 2: Why does this work deserve an award? Describe how the research meets these criteria:
- The research has been published within the last 5 years
Development of national probation services
This award is for CEP members (jurisdictions), who have made significant progress in developing probation services at a national level over the previous 3 years. It is aimed at jurisdictions which are either in the process of establishing a new probation service; or that have introduced significant changes to the way probation is delivered.
Question 1: Description of work being nominated
- Provide details of the changes which have been introduced (including dates)
- Explain why the changes were introduced
Question 2: Why does this work deserve an award? Describe how the organisation or project meets these criteria.
- The developments have taken place since January 2016 and have been successfully implemented
- The developments are innovative
- The developments have had an impact on criminal justice policy
- Services to probation clients have improved as a result
This is a new award category and therefore there is no nomination example available.
