Presentations Conference on the implementation of community sanctions and measures in Eurasia now available!
On the 16th and 17th of May 2019, delegates from the Eurasian part of the world and beyond participated in the ‘The implementation of community sanctions and measures in Eurasia Conference’ in Tbilisi, Georgia. A lot of knowledge sharing and networking was done by the participants during these two days. The conference was organised in close cooperation with the Georgian Ministry of Justice.
The main topic of the conference was the development and implementation of alternatives to detention in the Eurasian region. Participants from all over the world were interested in the topic, delegates from Uganda, South-Korea and also Portugal were present.
Various countries contributed to the conference programme with presentations, like Ukraine, Moldova, Romania and many more. Four workshops were also part of the program, topics included
- The role of probation in the pre-trial stage: trends and possibilities
- Electronic Monitoring
- Community Service
- The role of senior management in building a probation organisation: working alongside international experts

Framework Decisions
CEP Updates Framework Decision 947 Guides

CEP has released updated versions of its guides for persons under probation supervision and for probation staff, reflecting its continued commitment to cross-border cooperation in criminal justice. These revisions aim to promote broader use of Framework Decision 947, which facilitates the mutual recognition of probation measures and alternative sanctions across EU member states.
