Recap of CEP and EuroPris Meeting with Catalan Authorities
On 3 December, on the occasion of the joint CEP and EuroPris Workshop on Transition from Prison to Probation held at the Centre for Legal Studies and Judicial Training (CEJFE) in Barcelona, representatives from both international organisations met with senior officials from the Catalan Ministry of Justice to present their current work, reflect on ongoing cooperation, and explore shared priorities for future collaboration.
The meeting brought together Marc Cerón i Riera, Director of CEJFE and former CEP President, and Domingo Estepa Camacho, Director General of Penitentiary Affairs at the Catalan Ministry of Justice, along with Gustav Tallving, Executive Director of EuroPris. CEP was represented by Vice-President Daniel Dangladesh and Policy and Liaison Officer Anna Esquerrà Roqueta.
In a constructive dialogue, participants reaffirmed the strong relationship between Catalonia and the European network organisations, highlighting joint interests in professional development, training, and innovation within probation and prison services. Both CEP and EuroPris expressed their commitment to strengthening this cooperation, while Catalan authorities emphasised the value of continued engagement and exchange. The discussion confirmed a shared willingness to deepen collaboration and identified promising avenues for further joint work in the coming years.

Recap: Expert Group meeting on Violent Extremism

On 12–13 March 2026, the Expert Group on Violent Extremism convened for an in‑person meeting in Bucharest, Romania. Hosted at the University of Bucharest, the meeting brought together practitioners and representatives from across Europe to finalise the overview of best practices for preventive interventions targeting juveniles and young adults up to the age of 26 under probation. Building on the extensive discussions and progress made in 2025, the group worked collaboratively to bring the document to completion.
