Seventh expert meeting, 2023

On 25th April 2023, the Expert Group on Technology members met in Prague to continue working on the draft practice recommendations regarding technologies in probation. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Pia Andersson from The Prison and Probation Service of Finland at the premises of the Czech Probation and Mediation Service and 9 participants from across the EU were present. Sixth expert meeting, 2022

On 18 November 2022 an Expert group meeting on Technology in Probation took place online. Experts from 7 different EU jurisdictions (Finland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales, Germany and Czech Republic) gathered to start working on guidelines for a hybrid working model. The online meeting has served as a preparatory kick-off meeting to brainstorm and define key principles of working models in order to draft the first version of the guidelines for the upcoming face-to-face meeting that is taking place in the spring 2023. Fifth expert meeting, 2021

Also the fifth edition of this expert group meeting took place online. Topic of this meeting was: “The challenges and possibilities of digital probation and remote supervision”. See more information and the presentations here.

Fourth expert meeting, 2020

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the fourth meeting of the expert group had to take place online. The main topic of the meeting was the probation work during this same pandemic, and two presentations were given – one from the organizational point of view and one from the service user’s point of view.

Third expert meeting, 2019

On the 6th and 7th of June 2019, experts on technology in probation gathered in Vienna for the 3rd Expert Meeting. The meeting focused on national presentations, as well as the presentations of two invited speakers, professor Ioan Durnescu from Romania and Mr. Pedro Ferreira Marum from Belgium.

Second expert meeting, 2018

On the 3rd and 4th of September 2018, sixteen participants from seven European countries gathered in Helsinki, Finland for the CEP Technology in Probation Expert Meeting. The participants exchanged their knowledge on important technology topics and there was also time for good discussions. The meeting was co-organised by the Finnish Criminal Sanctions Agency.
