Policy and Liaison Officer
Anna Esquerrà Roqueta
Anna Esquerrà Roqueta is a Policy and Liaison officer at the Confederation of European Probation (CEP) since 2016. She is responsible for organising one week training events; the CJP Summer Course and the International Training School on Core Correctional Skills. She coordinates Expert Groups and Networks on Gender-Based Violence in Probation, Mental Health, and Education and Training, as well as Erasmus+ projects. She oversees the implementation of CEP’s Gender Equality and Diversity Policy and leads on policy analysis, drafting of policy papers, annual plans and reports, and the management of EU-funded projects (drafting, implementation, evaluation, monitoring, and reporting). She also organises CEP conferences, workshops, and webinars, and maintains cooperation with European partner organisations including EuroPris, the European Forum for Restorative Justice, and the European Network for the Work with Perpetrators, among others.
She combines her position at CEP with her role as associate teacher at the University of Barcelona. She holds degrees in Social Work and Anthropology, a Master’s in Ethnographic Research and Intercultural Relations, and specialised studies in Criminal Justice.
Before joining CEP, she worked with NGOs and the Catalan Ministry of Justice in various roles related to prisons and juvenile justice, focusing on programme design, professional coordination, and research on socio-educational and treatment plans. Her main interests are probation and gender, and she is currently pursuing a PhD on how offenders experience community work in Catalonia.
