CEP continues its series of webinars on key topics in probation.
Building on the 2024 webinar series, which explored alternatives to detention, radicalisation and violent extremism, volunteers, technology, and assessment, CEP will offer its members and all professionals interested in probation practical insights and expertise.
The 2025 webinars will focus specifically on alternatives to detention (here), violent extremism and assessment, providing first-hand knowledge and experiences in these crucial areas.

It will explore the topic of violent extremism and assessment, focusing on identifying risks, defining those risks, and the methods used in practice. Special attention will be given to practical approaches when working directly with clients.
Speaker: Jouni Holappa
Short bio: Jouni Holappa has worked at the Prison and Probation Service of Finland since 2009 and is currently a senior specialist responsible for the prevention of violent extremism and radicalization. Holappa’s expertise focuses on identifying violent radicalization, interacting with radicalized individuals, and preventing serious violent crimes
