Jana Bewersdorff
Jana Bewersdorff has held different leading positions in criminal justice and state justice administration. She began her professional career as a public prosecutor and then became a group leader and later on senior public prosecutor at the Attorney General’s Office with a focus on sexual offences, restorative justice and criminal policy projects (e.g. on domestic violence).

After secondments to the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Justice as deputy Head of Division for Probation Services and the criminal law department of the Federal Ministry of Justice, where she had the chance to coordinate the Directive of the European Parliament and Council on combating violence against women und domestic violence until trilogue, she is currently Head of Division for Probation in the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry of Justice. Jana Bewersdorff is married and has two adult children. She lives in Hamburg.
In October 2025 Jana was elected the CEP Board Member.
