The University of North Carolina Pembroke’s eighth annual conference on human trafficking will be held on Thursday, March 27th, in the Upchurch Auditorium in the James A. Thomas Hall on the campus of UNC Pembroke. The event is free and open to the public. It runs for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is required, and you can register at this site: http://uncp.edu/humantrafficking.
This year’s conference focuses on the crime of labor trafficking. Join us for an eye-opening discussion with experts of labor trafficking as they reveal the shocking reality of modern-day slavery. Learn how widespread this crime is and how the very products we buy may be linked to slavery.
Hear powerful firsthand accounts from survivors and discover how labor trafficking can happen to anyone. As one of the fastest-growing crimes in the world, labor trafficking affects us all—but together, we can make a difference. This year’s conference will empower you with the knowledge and tools to become an informed consumer and take action to help end labor trafficking in America.
