On Tuesday 20th April CEP, in cooperation with the Czech Probation and Mediation Service , organizes a webinar titled „The Restoration of Normality: A Year with Covid-19“.

The webinar takes place online from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm (CET) and serves as a replacement for the postponed Restorative Justice conference which was initially planned for April but is now going to be held in Prague (Czech Repulbic) on 11-13 October 2021.

It has been almost a year since Covid-19 crossed our lives and highly impacted our work in the field of probation. The aim of this webinar is to share information and knowledge from different European jurisdictions, and to provide participants with new experiences and lessons learnt in this first Covid year. The three highlighted topics will be managerial skills, education & training and the transition from prison to probation.

The provisional programme can be downloaded here.

Registration is open now and can be found below. Please note that commercial participants or people working for private companies are excluded from this event, and that representatives from CEP member organizations have priority. The event is free of charge.

—————————————————————

From 11 until 13 October 2021 CEP,  together with the Czech Probation and Mediation Service, will organize a conference on the past and future of probation, with a focus on restorative justice and interagency cooperation. The event also celebrates the 20th anniversary of PMS.

Aim

The aim of this conference is to reflect on community and inter-agency cooperation amongst probation agencies, justice agencies and other relevant authorities across Europe, with a focus on Central and Eastern European countries.

Gaining new knowledge, sharing experience, exchanging information and supporting mutual cooperation both on local and international level are essential for fruitful and successful cooperation. With the world constantly evolving several new changes and challenges have come up and have needed to be faced. Seemingly traditional probation topics that might have been perceived as overshadowed, suddenly reverberated  across the globe again, while also new ones unexpectedly occurred and became new normalities in our lives.

This conference would like to show an unusual journey from the past to the future, recall old challenges and discuss new ones that lie ahead of us.

Programme

The preliminary conference programme can be downloaded here.
