What do criminal offenders need to desist from crime in the future? This question lies at the heart of a new vodcast series, hosted on the YouTube channel “Division24.” The series aims to explore critical aspects of probation, parole, and social work in Europe through expert interviews conducted by Jo Tein, CEP board member.
The first episode will premiere on Thursday, December 5th, at 15:45 CET. The guest is Prof. Christian Ghanem, a professor of social work at the Technical University of Nuremberg and also a CEP member (Read his CEP member interview). The conversation delves into his life, his scientific insights into desistance from crime, and his perspectives on the practice of probation and parole in Germany. The interview will be available in German with English subtitles via the following link: https://youtu.be/-4u16IlVNNg. or below
New episodes will be released every two weeks, with the second interview scheduled for December 19th at 15:45 CET. The next guest is Sina Walter, a public probation and parole officer in Tübingen.
