From the 15th until the 17th of November 2017 CEP will organise its 7th conference for Directors General in Probation, this time taking place in Brussels, Belgium. The event will be hosted by the French-speaking DG Houses of Justice (Wallonia-Brussels Federation).
On the 15th of November the conference officially opens with a reception. Prior to that an optional study visit takes place at the DG Houses of Justice in Brussels. This entails a visit to the Centre of Electronic Monitoring and a presentation about the Houses of Justice, i.e. one institution providing ‘assistance’ to offenders as well as victims.
Many topics that are important for the work and world of probation will be discussed, as well as several relevant European developments. This Directors General meeting will focus on the following key strategic issues for probation:
- Theories and Models of Organisational Change
- Leading Change in Organisations: A Focus on Quality Assurance
- Managing Organisational Change and Innovation
- Coping with the inevitable barrage of changes that confront DG’s daily in attempting to keep probation organisations viable and current
