German study on crime related costs

The Bertelsmann Foundation has published a report in its research program "The costs of inadequate education" (Folgekosten unzureichender Bildung). The study of Professor Entdorf and Philip Winner of Frankfurt University focused on the relationship between a lack of schooling and criminal behaviour, finding a strong causal link between the two factors.
