The Oldenburg Report: The challenges of the new media to criminal justice

In May 2011 the German Congress on Crime Prevention (GCOCP), with its International Forum took place and recently the conference report has been published, also known as the Oldenburg Report (Oldenburger Erklärung). The theme was the challenges that the ‘New Media' pose to the criminal justice system. Media such as the internet and mobile phone, have significantly changed our societies and therefore our dealings with offenders. The report is written in German and looks into the risks and dangers of the new digital media.
