Final Conference: "In Search of Case Management"

DOMICE stands for: Developing Offender Management In Corrections in Europe. The project has provided an overview and in-depth analysis of the different arrangements for the case management across correctional systems of the European Union and accession countries. DOMICE aims to improve mutual knowledge and exchange best practice in integrated Case Management in all European prison and probation administrations, and is therefore organizing this final conference.

The conclusion of a two-year European Union funded project, the conference will assess and analyse the concept and practice of Offender Case Management across the European Union and candidate countries. An effective, integrated approach to the supervision of offenders can be instrumental in supporting rehabilitation and reintegration while protecting the public and ensuring effective use of resources; it is remarkable therefore that it is a subject that attracts so little attention. This conference will offer a chance to develop an understanding of what Case Management is and why it is important, learn from promising practice across Europe, hear from experts in the field, network with policy makers and practitioners from across Europe, and discuss the findings of the DOMICE research.

The National Offender Management Service of England and Wales has lead on this project in partnership with correctional services in Bulgaria, Catalonia, Denmark and The Netherlands, and in coordination with the CEP. The project is funded by the European Commission.

The conference is funded by the European Commission, is being hosted by the Generalitat de Catalunya and is organised in partnership with Inclusion.
