7th CEP conference for Directors General in Probation

From the 16th until the 17th of November 2017 CEP will organise its 7th conference for Directors General in Probation, this time taking place in Brussels, Belgium. The event will be hosted by the French-speaking DG Houses of Justice (Wallonia-Brussels Federation).

On the 15th of November there will be a reception and an optional visit. The optional study visit is organised to the Centre of Electronic Monitoring, with a presentation about the Houses of Justice, i.e. one institution providing ‘assistance’ to the offenders as well as the victims, at the DG Houses of Justice in Brussels.

Many topics that are important for the work and world of probation will be discussed, as well as several relevant European developments. This Directors General meeting will focus on the following key strategic issues for probation:

  • Theories and Models of Organisational Change
  • Leading Change in Organisations: A Focus on Quality Assurance
  • Managing Organisational Change and Innovation
  • Coping with the inevitable barrage of changes that confront DG’s daily in attempting to keep probation organisations viable and current
